Using the App

How do I log a pain entry?

Open the app to the Home tab. Use the sliders to rate pain at each body location (0–10 scale). Add an optional note using the text field or the microphone button. Tap Log Pain to save the entry.

Sliders stay at their current value between entries — you only need to adjust what has changed.

Why is my pressure reading different from weather.com or Apple Weather?

Weather services report sea-level pressure (adjusted for altitude). Lull reads your iPhone's built-in barometer, which measures local absolute pressure at your elevation. These values are different by design.

What matters for tracking is the change in pressure over time, not the absolute value. Both readings track the same changes — just at different baselines. In Settings you can switch to Station (SLP) pressure if you prefer sea-level values.

Why isn't the weather data loading?

Weather data requires Location permission. Check:

  1. iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Lull → set to While Using the App
  2. Make sure you have an internet connection
  3. Pull to refresh on the Overview tab

The barometer (local pressure) works without internet or location permission — only forecast and station pressure data requires location.

How do I add or change body locations?

Go to Settings → Body Locations. Toggle locations on or off to show them on the Home screen. Tap Add Location to create a custom location. Use Edit to reorder or delete custom locations.

How do I back up my data?

Go to Settings → Export & Backup → Backup All Data. This creates a JSON file containing all your pain entries, medications, pressure readings, and settings. Save it to Files, iCloud Drive, or share it anywhere you like.

To restore: tap Restore from Backup and select your backup file. Note: restoring replaces all current data — back up first if needed.

I reinstalled the app and lost my data. Can I recover it?

All data is stored on-device. When you delete the app, the data is permanently removed — Apple does not retain it.

If you previously created a backup (Settings → Export & Backup), you can restore from that file. Going forward, we recommend creating regular backups, especially before updating iOS or reinstalling the app.

Subscription & Billing

How do I cancel my subscription?

Lull subscriptions are managed entirely by Apple. To cancel:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone
  2. Tap your name at the top → Subscriptions
  3. Tap LullCancel Subscription

Your access continues until the end of the current billing period. All your data remains on your device after cancellation.

I was charged but don't have premium access. What do I do?

Try restoring your purchase:

  1. Open Lull → Settings → About
  2. Tap Restore Purchases

If that doesn't resolve it, email us at support@lullhealth.com with your Apple ID email and approximate purchase date and we'll help sort it out.

Does Lull offer refunds?

Refunds are processed by Apple, not by Lull Health LLC. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com and select the Lull purchase.

Privacy & Data

What data does Lull collect?

Lull stores your pain data, medications, and notes on your device only — nothing is sent to Lull's servers (there are none). The only third party that receives any data is Apple WeatherKit, which gets your approximate location to retrieve local weather conditions.

See the full Privacy Policy for details.

How do I delete all my data?

Delete the app from your iPhone. Because all data is stored on-device using Apple's SwiftData framework, deleting the app permanently removes all records. If you have exported backup files, delete those separately from wherever you saved them.
